Woodenleg is a studio design based in Dublin established in 2009 by: Anna Strzelecka and Robert Skoczylas. We were both born in Poland and studied Architecture there, in Krakow.
Mainly, we work on product design and development, furniture, space, conceptual and research related projects.
For us, the most important is simplicity combined with utility, quality, permanence and comfort. In designing, our focus is on the functional value, rather than the artistic one. Our process begins with storytelling, imagining how an object will be approached by an individual, how it will be used in daily routine and how it will integrate into people’s lives in the long run. Our designs concentrate on affection and accessibility. To us, a good product does not have to rely on costly materials or some particular sense of exclusivity . We create objects that are easy to use, but that convey personality, acquire personal meaning to users and are often capable of surprise. In our perspective - a good design starts with the person. We are active architects and our chief pleasure is to work closely with clients. We do believe that cooperation and deep understanding in our professional relationships are the key to success. Being extra sensitive to human interactions, Studio Woodenleg thrives to develop pleasant experiences with fresh perspectives in every project. Each work is created to be distinct, relevant and thoughtful.
